Swap don't shop!

Exciting clothes shop event happening in March

On Thursday 20th March we are pleased to be hosting a Clothes Swap event in our Gothic Hall here at school.

Organised by the BCS Climate Action Group with support from Transition Buxton, the event will run from 3:30 pm for students and 5–6 pm for adults.

With the fashion industry contributing to 8% of global emissions, swapping clothes is an eco-friendly way to reduce waste. Last year, similar events in Fairfield helped divert hundreds of garments from landfills, promoting sustainable living within the community.

Participants can bring up to five clean, good-quality items of clothing, shoes, or accessories to exchange for tokens, which can be redeemed for other items at the event.

Or you could send items in to school with your child running up to the event. They will receive a raffle ticket for every item they bring in. Uniform will be gladly accepted too.

Please ask your child to drop them off at the library in the morning, before tutor time.

We look forward to seeing you there!
