The youngest and oldest members of our student community made friends today during a lovely event arranged by Mrs Cruse and Mr Buckley for World Book Day.  Y7 students were invited to the sixth form study centre where they were buddied up with sixth formers to take part in a quiz based on ‘Friends in Literature’.  All the students had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed mixing together. 

As a whole school World Book Day celebration, Mr Buckley also prepared a different quiz for all tutor groups to take part in during registration. The students were also presented with a voucher from National Book Tokens which can be exchanged for one of 12 books on offer from them or can be used at WH Smiths in town for £1 off the price of a book.
