Selling Valentines cards in aid of the Turkey earthquake disaster
Sixth form students set up a stall in the lower atrium to sell valentines cards for 50p, or a donation, in aid of the victims of the tragic earthquake that has devastated Turkey. The cards actual read 'I appreciate you' and were sent not just as a romantic gesture but as a mark of thanks. The sixth formers sold the cards on Monday and Tuesday morning and then delivered them on Tuesday afternoon. It was a lovely event and card recipients were thrilled! Ms Cruse was really pleased that £312.77 was raised.
