We are delighted to announce that all students in years 7 to 9 will be watching a specially adapted performance of ‘Rush’ by the Rush National Theatre Company at Buxton Pavilion Arts Centre on November 16^th 2023.

This critically-acclaimed production, which has toured extensively nationwide, tells the story of the ‘Windrush Generation’ through spoken word and reggae music. We expect it to be a culturally enriching and rewarding experience, as well as a lot of fun! You can find out more at https://rushtheatrecompany.co.uk/rush/.

This event will take place during the school day; students should arrive to, and leave, school as normal. Staff will escort students to the venue and we expect the usual exemplary behaviour at all times.

We have managed to secure the majority of the funding to enable this visit to go ahead however we are also asking for a donation of just £2.00 per student to fully cover costs. Please pay this via ParentPay by Friday 10^th November.
